What if your new year feels like any other day? Nothing feels special.

Do one hard thing and keep it to yourself. Doesn't matter what it is, as long as it's hard for you.

Today, for me, it was a 17+ mile run and writing this post. Not because writing this was particularly difficult, but because I've committed to shipping something to my blog every day, no matter how I feel or how crappy I think it is. One crappy post a day beats no post.

For those who started the New Year in a difficult place: it's just another day. One foot in front of the other—you control how you feel about today. If you spent the day nursing a hangover, that's fine; get after it tomorrow.

If you are reading this, I wish you a Happy New Year.

Go and be ferocious.
